Good collectibles store, mostly old furniture and bric-a-brac and retro decor pieces. Quite a few interesting items and nostalgic pieces. Great for up-cyclers or re-purposing, not so much in the way of cabinet pieces, an enjoyable place to walk around if you are passing by. Limited parking but easy to walk to from Reading Station or Town Centre.
Great place to look around. Old antiques etc. Give yourself alot of time to browse.

Best hairdressers I have been to! I’ve gone to the same stylist who is always so friendly and blow drys my hair nicely! Staff are always happy to help and offer lots of useful advice. They also stock lots of great products.
****I WOULD'NT TAKE NOTICE OF ANY OF THE BAD REVIEWS - THIS IS HONESTLY THE BEST SALON I HAVE BEEN IN YET**** I wish I could give 10 stars. This salon goes above and beyond to all customers. I found them by popping in for a hair cut with my mum who has not been well and lost her hair due to her illness. We went in to Cocoon for her first hair cut since stopping the medication to get a tidy up before her holiday and they were absolutely amazing. Firstly offering to do the tidy completely free. Secondly being so kind, understanding and positive towards my mum and her insecurities. We left so pleased and they even gave my mum a 'goody bag' with a beautiful candle in it - remember, with no charge! How lovely? I then returned to the salon for my own hair as I had a hair cut two months prior (from a different salon in Reading) leaving me with a burnt scalp and hair I couldn't even wear up in a pony tail as it was so 'all over the place' that it was even a mess in a pony tail! I hadn't worn my hair down since FEB 18. They looked at the state of my hair and my scalp and were so fantastic. I left with the best hair cut I have had in years, and this is after sorting a terrible cut.. They helped me by giving me a scalp treatment ( which again, they kindly deducted the charge). I have been trying different salons for 5 or so years trying to find somewhere that I actually leave happy and I can now say I have found it! Thank you to all the wonderful girls at Cocoon - Reading. Beautiful people inside and out!

A very nice bookshop. Where staff go out to really assist you! A nice coffee shop is nearby to.
The bookshop is great for sourcing Christian literature, Bibles and Christianity themed gifts and cards. The staff are pleasant and helpful.
89 Broad St, Reading RG1 2AP, UK – 0118 958 1270
More books than you'll find in an average library and loads of knowledgeable staff who will help you find just what you're looking for. They host meet and greets and talks by authors and these are fabulous as well. The whole building is wheelchair accessible and the staff go out of their way to help.
Great selection of books on any topic. If they run out of one, you can order online and it's going to be delivered to your home address or can be picked up from the store. Great and happy staff! You can sit down on a second floor in a comfy armchair and have a rest, and possibly read something. I love this place!

Very helpful people and good level of stocked items. I really like their approach to customer service. Make you feel comfortable and they try to help as much as possible. Really nice to see this now a days.
Good guys. been there 25 plus years. They try hard to sort out your problem or car part give them a try. better than halfords on car information and service.

Amazing People! My BMW had quite a standard audio system which didn’t justify the cars quality. So I decided a few months into my car ownership that I had enough of poor quality and no bass. Had a look around in my local area and couldn’t find any audio store that seemed passionate or as happy as myself to be doing the upgrade to my car. However, I came across Connor & His fantastic colleagues which took me through demos in theirs cars and explained every single detail about upgrading my system. I don’t regret one penny that I spent on the car with them. They take care of the cars as if it was theirs. Not many people do that. They’ve always gone that extra mile for me and I appreciate it ! Keep it going lads!
Superb service! Knowing nothing whatsoever about car audio, but from recommendation from others, These guys were our first port of call! Utterly fabulous staff and fitting job! It was very apparent to me these guys really really care about what they do, they won't be happy until you are, simple as that! In our case they moved heaven and earth, provided a courtesy car, and provided us with an installation that makes you wish your car journeys were longer! You will not better these people! If carlsberg did car audio!

Extremely helpful staff. Very patient and willing to advise you with no obligation to buy from them. Excellent products and fantastic customer service from start to finish. I would definitely recommend them. Big thanks to Archie, Steve and Joe at Richer Sounds Reading.
Freaking superb service. I purchased a high spec Sony TV here last month after relocating to Reading and after transferring my belongings I simply could not get it to play audio through my Bose Soundbar. I tried everything for days and followed advice on the Bose support forum and via Google. Lots of other people struggle too and often get nowhere, sending their TV or soundbar back to their supplier. A store and free home visit as 'all part of our service sir...' quickly fixed it, as they promised they would. That's the benefit of supporting our high street retailers over Amazon etc. And buying from those with genuine sales and technical after sales support. Thank you soooo much Richer Sounds and especially Steve and Archie. I am one seriously happy bunny now!!!! I cannot recommend you enough... with my full Bose surround now operational, my home cinema is awesome!!!

Unlike my review for Halfords Chorley, this Reading branch employ staff who care and bother to assist. A great team. Bought new bosch wiper blades to swap for old. Great advice in store and guy in car park was ace at fitting them and took a couple of minutes to help me resolve a washer squirter problem that Evans Halshaw had failed to. Offered him a thank you tip but he politely refused. A real gent. Staff like this make customers come back and advertise your business for you for free. Keep doing this
Staff are not always as knowledgeable as hoped. However, the store generally has a good selection of parts and tools.
709-723 Oxford Rd, Reading RG30 1PR, UK – 0118 945 1466
This Halfords has a good variety of products, ranging from bicycles, car and motorcycles. Road, mountain and kids bikes are all for sale here with readily available support and additional tools for sale. For the car there are things ranging from in car stereos, roof racks, bike racks, floor mats, wheels, tools and cleaning products. There is a very good range of cleaning products; I purchase many from here. For the motorcycles there are cleaning products for the bike and helmets. As well as security devices and maintenance essentials, such as engine oil. Lastly if you are after toolboxes they sell that too. The knowledge of the staff is pretty good and are willing to help.
Very helpful staff from cashier to mechanic - all were fantastic. The shop is well laid out with plenty of stock and systems to make your experience quick and easy. A Halfords that sets the bar for other stores in my opinion.
160 Basingstoke Rd, Reading RG2 0HJ, UK – 0118 923 9450
We recently purchased a car from Evans Halshaw Reading and were very impressed with the service. We dealt with Tim Judd who was brilliant throughout. He was very helpful and offered sound and excellent advice to all our questions. He was not pushy and as somebody who isn’t a car person it was great to deal with a salesman like Tim to help us make the best decision without having to worry about being sold something we didn’t want or pressured into a purchase. We are super pleased with the Nissan so thank you Tim for everything.
A very simple and professional transaction. This was chiefly because Tim Judd was extremely helpful. Moved the car we liked nearer in very short time and completed the transaction in one afternoon. Tim fully explained all the available extras to us and allowed us to opt in or out without pressuring us. Thanks Tim, your advice was invaluable. Would gladly recommend Evans Halshaw to friends and family and would suggest that they specifically ask for Tim Judd.
29 Rose Kiln Ln, Reading RG2 0ST, UK – 0118 923 1106
Good service received from all members of staff here. Unfortunately the car developed a fault within the first 30 days however the staff were very helpful especially George the Sales leader. Despite the issue I would still consider using them in the future because of how professionally they dealt with the problem.
4 Berkeley Ave, Reading RG1 6HD, UK – 0118 327 9610
Exceptional service. These guys treat you like a King. The car is great and would recommend them for a great deal.
Very friendly and helpful. Cars are being checked in house before they are sold. Do recommend checking with them before you buy a used car
211 Shinfield Rd, Reading RG2 8HA, UK – 0118 986 1393
Love the new Costa staff are brilliant, helpful and friendly, always happy. It's good for a top up shop and prices are good to. But they have a new staff member at the petrol part of the station. Who is very rude. Ask one question and get a answer for a other. Then he changes his mind and say something else. If u try and correct him...he will flatly deny you and makes u feel stupid.
10 Berkeley Ave, Reading RG1 6AT, UK – 0118 958 0239
Generally amongst the cheapest around. Self service pumps if you prefer.
Good place to have a shoping and patrol
London Rd, Reading RG1 5BW, UK – 0118 957 5403
Best toilets experience ever. Proper Bougie
PROS: - convenient location on the way back to town, - enough stations to fill up your tank. CONS: - could use self-serve stations (pay with card and go, without having to go into the store), - can be difficult getting back on the road.

MTC is the only place I trust to get my bike serviced and looked after properly. A huge amount of expertise and a well equipped workshop means they can tackle almost anything. I have been using MTC most of my biking life and am very happy with everything they've done for me. . 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
I highly recommend MTC Motorcycles. I have bought motorcycles and had motorcycles serviced and repaired there for years and they have always been attentive, professional and, most importantly, reasonably priced!

I live in the U.S. and recently purchased my dream bike from Spencer at Bridge Moto. He is a super kind and honest person. He crated up the bike very very well and got it off to the international shipping company at a fair price! I highly recommend Bridge Moto to anyone looking to buy an import or used motorcycle, a very trustworthy business! Thanks Spencer!
I have bought bikes from Spencer for the last 4 years, mostly for custom projects. I keep coming back to him because he has a great depth of knowledge when dealing with niche grey imports and the bikes he selects are great examples. He is exactly what you would hope when doing business, honest, straight forward and reliable.

Fairly standard local pharmacy, nothing special, it has an array of things that you would expect at prices that range from reasonable to expensive. Customer service is fine from every time I've gone in there myself and I've never had any issues. Competent at their jobs and able to offer advice quickly and easily for any medical queries that may be asked.
Helpful bunch. Not a bad pharmacy

The thing that made this JoJo store stands out is the staff. They are exceptionally warm and friendly. They couldn't have done more for us, while at the same time, not being pushy at all.....so we spent far more than expected! But had a really nice time in the shop. Thank.you all!!!
Expensive but it has some pretty nice things for mum's and babies, good for picking gifts for newborns.
Rose Kiln Ln, Reading RG2 0SN, UK – 0333 004 4444
Went on Monday and honest to god thought I was going to pass out it was so hot. I went in looking for dresses for my daughter and hats for me and her. Very surprised they had no sunhats in the middle of July! I was told it's 'seasonal' and I almost laughed. The queue was quite long and only had 2 people serving who seemed to be taking forever, but I feel if they had suitable aircon they would have been okay. They looked really warm and I was only there for 20 minutes and nearly melted.
Yes, good quality clothing. You can find each and every option from toddlers to elders. I like quality of clothes and shoes. And also prices are reasonable. But if you need more reasonable prices then must wait for SALE. In Sale days, must try to reach earlier as stock gets clear.
Vastern Court, Caversham Rd, Reading RG1 8BA, UK – 0118 950 3340
Great parking. Close to town to walk. They have a Clarks shoes corner and a photo shoot area. The store is large with many items of choice. Mothercare is rather pricey all round. But have all under one roof. Store is next to a The Range and an Aldi. So can park for many other items to.
They do have some great products. The only thing is that alongside the very friendly, helpful, energetic floor managers are some quite unknowledgable younger staff members. You end up waiting around ages just to get a proper answer on price or product code as you'll need to get the attention of the manger for anything to happen. Better training needed. And also the prices shown on products in store are often wrong when put in the system and reference against the catalogue. Lovely helpful staff all in all though and we've been really happy with our Mothercare buggy. The wheel was slightly dodgy at first but they replaced it straight away.

Great friendly staff. In, new suit, out. Really easy, good range of sizes and super efficient staff. Thank you.
Excellent place to shop if you are a man who has a larger than average physique. Fairly good selection of clothes, including designer brands (Polo and Tommy Hilfiger) and the staff are really helpful.

Bridewell Consulting provided the right solution for my micro-business with the same level of professionalism and care as if we were a large corporate. They were also great to work with. Explaining what we needed in language that made sense to our non-techie selves. Thanks guys, highly recommended for any size business.
Attended the GDPR event that you ran this week, very informative and would highly recommend it to others.

I have nothing but praise for ACT. They really care about their customers and know how to look after them. If things do go wrong, which is extremely rare, they are very open about it and just focus on fixing the problem as quickly as possible. I have recommended them to other businesses in the past and will continue to do so.

A Lovely Card & Gift Shop xx
Forbury Retail Park, Kenavon Dr, Reading RG1 3HS, UK – 0330 026 1032
It is a typical Hobbycraft, albeit not as large or quite as well stocked as the Woking store. The prices are far from competitive when compared to online stores but the ability to see it and but it immediately must be the price of convenience. The range of things they stock are limited so your choice within categories themselves (modelling flock, for example) is somewhat limited but the quality is always about what you would expect. There are no loos and so shopping with toddlers is a nightmare and the queue is weekends is unbearable.
More signage would be helpful to find things within the store. The staff seem knowledgeable and passionate.
17-, 18 Broad St, Reading RG1 7QE, UK – 0118 959 0332
I love this shop! They have some great products at bargain prices. I like their range of esoteric books and their offers are pretty good (3 for £5 on selected fiction). They're good for stationery and arts & crafts/hobbies. The supervisor pretty much ignores the customers and does this thing where he charges around looking important; however, the staff at the till are always friendly and helpful and their points card scheme is one of the best out there.
The shop was very hot and smelt funny. I was looking for alternative ideas for birthday presents but couldn't find anything. I guess the shop will be good for arts and craft bits.
4-5, Vastern Court Retail Park, Vastern Rd, Reading RG1 8AL, UK – 0118 959 3005
A proper little homewares Aladdin's Cave. Make sure you have plenty of time, as you'll spend way more of it than expected browsing everything from wall art to paint brushes (both decorating and art) to pet supplies, furniture, kitchen equipment, in fact the list is almost endless. All reasonably priced. Oh, and there's a coffee shop too !
Excellent "range" as the name suggests. Pretty much most household items you'll ever need, DIY tools, car care, garden furniture, pet care, arts and crafts, toys. In fact there's not a lot they don't do! All reasonably priced too
Mill Ln, Roundabout, Reading RG1 2HN, UK – 0118 956 7420
I can not recommend Evans Cycles highly enough. James and Simon from the shop rescued my anniversary. We had a complete fail with the bikes before we were leaving for a cycling trip for our 5th wedding Anniversary and they pulled a rabbit out of the hat. They are AWESOME. Thank you James and Simon. I am so so so so impressed!
Very knowledgeable staff. Good value servicing. Didn't do unnecessary work (I thought i needed new brake pads, but they advised they were only half worn). Bike rode very well after the service.
110 Henley Rd, Reading RG4 6DH, UK – 0118 946 3050
Brilliant local bike shop. Excellent staff who will treat your bike like it's their own. Will keep using these for a long time!
Great professional service, my family's bike problems always sorted promptly and with a smile. These guys really know what they are doing; watching Bob displaying his workshop skills is quite a treat. Recommended.

Excellent and honest service. I am beyond impressed! Decathlon held my bike for a week and didn't touch it, asking for £50. These guys fixed the problem for less than half the price. Fully recommended!
Great service from the team and bought a bike for my son at a good price, impressed with them and would highly recommend.
44A Church St, Reading RG4 8AU, UK – 0118 947 2011
I love this shop - I always find something useful here, and the staff are just wonderful, really helpful guys. They have everything from balls of wool to tools to bird food, you're pretty much guaranteed to find something you need in this shop!
Really positive people in here, if you are not sure what you need you can safely ask with out feeling dumb. They are also available to chat with to go through a plan with to make sure you have got everything
61-64 Broad St, Reading RG1 2AJ, UK – 020 8247 9300
On the plus side carries a wide range of good quality value for money hardware and assorted goods plus the staff are efficient and helpful. So why not 5 stars? Because it's difficult to find your way around in it, the labelling towards the exit it particular is awful.
A very convenient and useful store that have got most of items that you would need for DIY, household and leisure. The cash tills are a bit sluggish and slow. I've been to the store dozens of times in the past and not even a single time the cashier has made an eye contact, smile or shown a bit of friendly attitude! The biggest problem is to find someone on the shop floor to help answer queries and to locate the items. They have recently modified the store and relocated a few sections and it's difficult to meander down the Isles that were so familiar and some of the regular it's in the hardware section completely disappeared.

Have used Brandons before. So hired a floor sander and edger Friday to Monday morning. Friday floor sander was not sucking up dust .Had to take that back and have it changed. Saturday the edger wasn't working properly had to take back that. No questions asked changed the machines. Monday phoned to say I was behind on the jobs no problemat all bring the machines back Tuesday when you've caught up. From a customer service point of view excellent. From a machine maintenance point of view not so good this time round.
Had to hire fencing for a football tournament it all went smoothly thanks to the help of the guys I dealt with. Great communication; did what they said when they said. First class service

The staff here are so lovely, all the furniture is in good condition and the shop has a stunning collection. If you like old furniture, this is the place. It was such a shame that i had to cancel my order because the moving company quoted me £600 for furniture transport to my new location. I got a full refund from the staff. Will be visiting the one in my new location soon.
Great loads of options helpful staff

I've been using The Flower Shop for about the last two years now and can rate them an easy 5 stars. Of the 4 orders I've placed, all have been delivered on time, looked amazing, and importantly the arrangement has lasted over a week. The one most recent order I had any sort of complaint about (and even then you could argue the high heat was a major consideration), the flowers wilted in a few days. I cannot fault the actions of the Flower Shop though in getting a new bunch to my partner on a fast turnaround. Excellent service, will absolutely continue to use in the future.
Really impressed, everything exactly as promised and very efficient from order to same day delivery. Also just nice little additions of email notifications on delivery etc that keep you informed. My wife was very pleased with the bouquet! Would definitely use again.

Used Sonning flowers for my sisters wedding in July 2018. We sent them pictures of the bouquet, corsages, button holes and table centres and thy not only provided a competitive quote but delivered exactly what we were looking for. The arrangements (especially the bouquet) were absolutely beautiful. Really happy
Received a beautiful sonning flower bouquet of flowers for my 50th birthday from friends who live down your way. They came all the way up to York, well packaged and they were stunning - definitely the best flowers I received during that week. Thank you

By far the best floral / events company in Reading. Have worked with them for years commercially and personally. The most creative and professional company i have found and i mange hotels and have seen many. Could not recommend enough. And I have seen them cater for hundreds of weddings of sexes without issue and to much acclaim.
Thank you Marc, James and the team for the beautiful flowers. The team were extremely creative and welcoming, the end result looked better than I could have hoped for! Thank you so much 5****

Had DELICIOUS blueberry pancakes and a smoothie here. Great portion size, really nicely presented and the service was awesome. Spied on other plates that were coming out and they looked great too. New favourite spot!
Love the food this place does. Lots of variety and some pretty special deli sarnies. The food to eat in very good also. They do a breakfast burrito that is excellent. It is a bit more expensive than a standard sandwich shop, but it's worth it.
6 Union St, Reading RG1 1EU, UK – 0118 950 0671
Dam, this is expensive! Don't get me wrong, they've got great quality stuff, a great variety of supplements, but if you want to save some money, better wait for one of the regular penny sales!
Decent choice of bulk foods and healthy life items but usually much better prices and quality can be found online. I still like to stop in and try something new but they need to improve their range and standards.
57-58, Broad Street Mall, Reading RG1 7QE, UK – 0118 957 2787
It has great and a variety of products, but the prices aren't the best. You have other stores near with better prices.
Good range of vitamins and supplements

The best support about suplements and diet plans in Reading 💪
I was served by the owner and very impressed with the friendliness, knowledge and advice openly shared. The prices seemed to be better value than some of the other supplement stores in Reading. I felt i was in safe hands, only being recommended products that would directly impact my goals and not being pressured to buy anything i didn't come in to the shop for in the first place. I moved away from some of the usual products i buy based on his advice and am really pleased I listened. I will no longer buy online as the personal advice is priceless.
Henley Road, Playhatch, Reading RG4 9RD, UK – 0844 288 5705
Friendly helpful staff. Great range of plants and gifts
Age old problem with these places, it depends who you talk to as to how knowledgeable and helpful they are. The place is great, with good products. Their fireworks pack more punch than the supermarkets.
24 Richfield Ave, Reading RG1 8JS, UK – 0118 328 2004
I love this place I wish i knew it earlier. Bought lots of plants today. They all look healthy and fabulous with good price
Poorly signposted. Not open!! I arrived at 7.30pm and it is advertised open 'til 8pm and it was all padlocked up. Even the sign on the gate said it should be open 'til 8pm. V. confusing :(
Reading Retail Park, Oxford Rd, Reading RG30 1PR, UK – 0330 838 9425
Love this store. Everything you could possible need for a fraction of the price compared to other outlets. Don't expect any customer service, be glad if you get a hello and thank you from the cashiers, that's the negative part.
Fantastic store with a broad range of food and household items on offer. If you're looking for something at a cheaper price than the main supermarkets, you'll probably find it here. Great for pet owners as the pet food is always cheaper here than anywhere else. I've also found that if you're looking for foreign items they often have a great selection on rotation. Twinkies are a type of American cake which I've yet to find anywhere else in the UK at such a good price. The store is generally a little bit untidy but the staff are always willing to help if you can't locate something. Overall, a great store with lots to offer the discerning shopper.
The Oracle Centre, 20 Holy Brook Walk, Reading RG1 2AQ, UK – 0118 951 2607
Amazing such great customer service.
I took in a broken and knotted white gold chain and the assistant, Kay, must have taken over half an hour to un-knot it and reattach the clasp, and he did it for free! They even put it in a box for me so it wouldn't get re-entangled. And said that it the temp fix didn't work, they could get it soldered, for a small charge. We both have bought jewellery from this store and found the service very friendly and the quality of the product very good.

Helpful staff. Good range of jewellery.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff and a wide range of products from a wide range of manufacturers. I like the price promise. It worked for me one time when I found on Amazon the identical product for £10 less - they gave it to me for the Amazon price with no trace of ill will. Nice one.
Good range of products. Knowledge and helpful staff. Discount for Guides and DofE

Brilliant customer service, and they price matched an online store plus gave an extra 10% 👍 the fella that got my watch was really excited to open the box to show me the contents and was subtly trying to sell me (or maybe himself?) a pretty impressive camping knife. The lady that served me Hellen also signed me up for the store card which gives added discount for future purchases. Really happy with the whole experience thanks
Michelle went out of her way to get me the shirts I wanted Fantastic range Knowledgeable helpful staff

Really good customer service good service good things you can buy from this Pet Shop
I left a long review here criticising the store and some practices I wasn't happy with. The owner messaged me privately, explaining some of my concerns reasonably and made some changes to reflect them. I've got to say, this is why independent stores triumph and are always preferable to places like Pets at Home. I will be going back and I have a lot of respect for the owner.
Unit F Reading Retail Park, Oxford Road, Reading RG30 1PR, UK – 0118 941 6857
Friendly helpful staff and great selection. It would be great if you could start stocking the velcro attachments for Julius k9 harnesses, such as labels, reflective strips and side bags.
Very nice shop especially if you shopping for your pets there's every thing for them under one roof I would recommend it to anyone looking to buy that special something for their pets
2, Rose Kiln Ln, Reading RG2 0HS, UK – 0345 600 9280
Great selection of pets at fairly decent prices. Shame they contradict their own advice, set silly rules, sell sick fish & only recommend the most expensive maintenance products. We were told our tank was only big enough for 1-2 fish. Then they explained their easy 'point system', which says we could have 3-6 fish. After much debate (not quite arguing), they finally said we could have 2 to start and add later. Then they recommended two products to add to our tap water to make the water safe, 'Tap Safe' and some form of good bacteria booster (Just shy of £10!). I asked if there were any smaller/cheaper solutions but was told no. A quick look at the shelf saved me £4, as there were alternatives. We followed all instructions with 2 goldfish. Both laying on the bottom of the fish tank within 3 days. A trip back to the store showed many of their goldfish showing the same symptoms. We got 1 more and a silver one, the gold one suffered the same fate whereas the silver is still going strong. My 3yr old daughter has been on an emotional rollercoaster and its been a real put off doing anything like this again.
Good roomy lay out, few empty shelves and it's a little pricey so look around for bargains, staff friendly and always at hand
Forbury Retail Park, Kenavon Dr, Reading RG1 3HS, UK – 0118 956 9151
Large tidy store with a lot of stock, everything is well organised and staff seem helpful without being pushy. Always impressed by the number of sports they cover, they do change the ranges depending on the season which can be frustrating if you like doing activities in what they consider the "off season". Found what I wanted pretty quickly, service at the checkout was swift.
Very helpful young lady this morning when I could not find what I needed. She even came with me for second item also and took it out of Bix to show me properly. Well done. Wish I had got her name.
90-93 Broad St, Reading RG1 2AP, UK – 0344 332 5095
Good product selection but seriously unmotivated staff: sudden tumbleweed when you want a member of staff to help you buy some boots (none came even when I hollered loud and clear & it wasn't busy). Next teller was intransigent when I insisted that I only wanted to take home the boots I had paid for and not a cardboard box as well - A bit of staff training required 'No the warranty is not given by the cardboard box; it is legally given by the receipt'.
Located in Broad St. Quite central and accessible. Got wide range of clothing and footwear. Store is neat and tidy with friendly staff...recommended.
52 Broad St, Reading RG1 2AA, UK – 0118 959 2083
This is one of the places where you can be assured that you'd find quality products. The place offers branded t-shirts, shoes, jerseys, track suits etc. It has 2 storeys with the lower storey dedicated for women wear. The upper floor has dresses for men.

We have used Frasers for office stationary and equipment for years. The service is exceptional and prices are keen too. Happy to recommend them to other businesses who need reliable suppliers.
3-5 Duke St, Berkshire, Reading RG1 4SA, UK – 0118 950 0493
Very good store to shop, as you enter the shop they always approach you, i like that about them always willing to help.
They always approach you immediately to ask you if you want help (within about 15 seconds of entering). I get that it's probably to deter shoplifters, but it's still extremely irritating being asked if you need help to pick an eraser or something similarly trivial. Just stare at me from a distance if you have to and leave me be. Also they ALWAYS ask you if you want to buy some piece of rubbish at the till. If I wanted X I would have picked it out myself: I'm not just going to randomly buy some batteries or whatever on a whim. I should probably try WHSmith.
123 Loverock Rd, Reading RG30 1DZ, UK – 0118 951 4514
Diane and team couldn't have been more helpful and pleasant to work with. My order arrived the very next day and was exactly what I was looking for. After my spending a lot of time attempting to track it down, this company were able to find it immediately and solve my problem on the spot. Throughly recommend them.

Great store full of awesome sound and visual equipment, staff are extremely knowledgeable
My go-to place on anything related to hifi equipment in Reading. The straight-to-the-point, no-nonsense approach of the experts at the store always keeps surprising me. These guys know what they're talking about. I absolutely love the fact that I can have a local store with genuinely nice people to go to regardless of my audio-related question/need. Also any and all support-related matters have been taken care of by the guys at the store personally and immediately. This is not the level of service you tend to get when ordering online from places that originally might appear cheaper. Highly recommended!
130-131 Friar St, Reading RG1 1HX, UK – 0330 123 5986
Good variety of stock but my issue is the waiting times. I believe they have had the same computer software since the early 2000's. The system for trading and buying has always been long and slow but although the staff at this store are friendly, they're far to laid back so the waiting times are ridiculous. There were 5 people behind the desk, 2 of which were serving. I was the only person in the queue and yet I was waiting for at least 20mins to buy one item. I reckon any slower and they'd be late for their own funeral!
Although customer service isn't necessarily the focus of CEX a little wouldn't go amiss. There could be eight members of staff in the shop, often behind the till, and only two will be serving customers (one buying, one selling). I've rarely been in the queue for under 30 minutes. Another point is pricing. For a shop where the premise is selling used goods they regularly charge more for games/accessories than other shops do for brand new items. A used Xbox One controller will cost the same as a brand new one in Game. The price of newly released DVDs offers no incentive to buy them from CEX rather than HMV or a leading supermarket. On a positive note, staff are most often friendly, provide good advice and opinions on the products. The staff who do serve the customers try there hardest to do what they can under the circumstances. There's usually a good selection of products and I particularly enjoy rummaging through the CDs.
